Gender wage gap vs. ratio of female-to-male labor force participation
The gender wage gap is the difference between average earnings of men and women, expressed as a percentage of average earnings of men. The female-to-male labor force participation ratio compares the share of women and men in the working-age population (ages 15 and over) who are economically active (employed or unemployed).
