The indices are by V-Dem, based on expert estimates, and range from 0 to 1 (most rights). Physical integrity includes freedom from government torture and political killings. Private civil liberties include property rights and freedom of movement, religion, and from forced labor. Political civil liberties include freedom of expression and association.
